Surefire Decimate Selective Herbicide application is recommended via boom spray. The boom spray rate for fireweed, up to 4 leaf stage, is 500mL per hectare. Some users may apply Decimate as a spot spray as 'off-label' by applications other than boom spray. An approximate 'off-label' conversion rate would be 1/100th of boom spray rate to 10L water, e.g. if the rate in the weed table is 500mL, use 5mL/10L water 500mL x .001 = 5mL. Always read the 'directions for use' carefully before application. These can be found on the products screen. Scroll down to the heading 'SDS & Technical' select, and a PDF file will be available to download or print.

Surefire Decimate Selective Herbicide is registered to control Fireweed (Senecio spp.) up to the four leaf stages of growth.  If the stock is due to be sold or sent for slaughter, refer to the WHP (Grazing: Pasture, Cereals: Do not graze or cut for stock food within 14 days after application).  If the stock is remaining on the property and you choose to remove them whilst spraying, allow the paddock time to dry (6-8 hours) before reentry.
